decades since its establishment in 1987, Coastal Air has emerged as a

The multifaceted organization encompasses a wide range of services such as Safari adventures, scheduled flights, charters, and aircraft maintenance. Over the years, the airline has evolved and diversified, becoming a reliable provider with a robust flight schedule covering Tanzania and the entire East African region.
At Coastal Air, two of the core values are versatility and commitment to excellence. The fleet consists of single engine aircrafts (Pilatus PC12s and Cessna C208Bs, with plans to introduce multi engine aircrafts in the very near future.
As an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) certified by the relevant authorities, the airline possesses the expertise and authorization to carry out third-party maintenance services. This comprehensive approach aligns perfectly with the vision of providing the best air travel experience, with all facilities under one roof.
Coastal’s extensive network extends from its hubs in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, and Zanzibar, connecting passengers to a diverse range of destinations. The company offers flights into the heart of the Serengeti and Selous/Ruaha, regions renowned for their remarkable lion populations, the world’s second-largest mammal migration and the iconic wildebeest migration in the Serengeti. Coastal Air proudly takes a leading role in delivering these unforgettable experiences.
Additionally, Coastal offers daily flights to the captivating Mafia region, known for its remarkable whale shark encounters. Beyond the borders, Coastal Air facilitates seamless travel to Nairobi, Kenya, and Kigali, Rwanda, fostering regional connectivity.
Safety is the organization’s utmost priority. At Coastal Air, stringent standard operating procedures are upheld, placing safety at the core of our operations. All commercial flights feature a Multi-Crew Cooperation cockpit, ensuring optimal safety measures are in place.
Furthermore, the commitment to safety is reaffirmed by the consistent retention of the IATA Safety Standards Assessment (ISSA) certification over the years.

Dr. Capt. Basil Obeidat (CEO), an esteemed aviation veteran with an impressive four decades of experience, leads our dynamic management team.
